Software Engineer: Advanced Technologies Group – Computer Vision and Machine Learning Platform


Advanced Technologies Group is a startup group within AMD with a mission to transform how our future generations will live by continuous innovation and advance AMD's future solution.


ATG Team is looking for computer vision engineer to develop our long-term platform vision, which will have significant impact for AMD, and the future of our products.

In this role, you will lead the definition of forward-looking projects and novel system concepts to significantly impact AMD’s future product portfolio.


  • Build Windows-based driver and application-level solution for AMD’s next generation machine learning and computer vision HW and SW
  • Work closely with HW and SW teams to design and implement end-to-end features
  • Work closely with architecture teams to provide timely feedback and direction on various architectural design decisions
  • Measure, analyze, and optimize power and performance; tune SW strategies based on performance and power consumption analysis
  • Determine and implement unit testing and system level testing strategies
  • Participate in pre-silicon SW development and verification, as well as post-silicon development through to product commercialization
  • Communicate, debug, share data and findings with local and remote teams

  • Industry experience in driver and/or application development in Android/Linux/Windows environment
  • Proven software design skills, C, C++ programming skills
  • Excellent communication skills, strong teamwork to join a global organization focusing on optimizing current and next generation machine learning solutions
  • Other desired qualifications: practical experience with Windows Driver Frameworks Windows Media Foundation, Media Foundation Transforms Windows ML, ONNX, Direct3D / DirectML WHQL OpenCV, OpenVX gtest or other test framework

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or Applied Math
