Product Application Specialist
Support Price Industries’ sales and profit goals related to a specific product category or product. Provide technical support to internal and external customers in order to facilitate the specification and sale of the business unit products, including guidance on application, performance, troubleshooting, competitiveness, sales and pricing of product and services.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide technical support to internal and external customers, including:Generating performance data for standard and non-standard products, reviewing specifications, creating literature, etc.
Support a sale by providing guidance on product competitiveness, support of the bid process, leading customer visits (internal and external), and project management from initial contact through final client sign-off.
Initial contact for external customers providing Application Support, Analysis, Quotation / Bid Support, Submission and Fabrication, and Installation and Start Support.
Support and assist Product Managers, Sales Management, and relevant Account Manager with technical input to achieve the sales goals and penetration strategies for the product category or product.
Provide technical design and troubleshooting assistance to Sales Reps, Design Engineers and Contractors for projects and product applications.
Work with Product Management and Marketing to ensure that literature, presentations, and other collateral is current and accurate.
Identify opportunities in the market for product development, application data and sales support material through interaction with customers.
Develop test plans to ensure that requisite data is developed.
Support definition of product and offer guidance on market to all stakeholders.
Participate as required in visits with sales representatives whether they are at the PRCN, other Price Facilities, or in the field.
Any other duties as required to support the company and the product.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:A College Diploma or University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Strong interpersonal, communication, organization skills, with an eye for detail.
Process driven, self-motivated and demonstrates the ability to take initiative.
Aptitude and desire for customer service excellence.
A basic understanding of HVAC systems, controls and mechanical equipment would be an asset.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment to meet timeline-dependent deliverables.
Seek the guidance and help of the Product Manager and Departmental Manager to resolve issues and conflicts.
Work efficiently to provide accurate responses in a timely manner based on existing backlog and customer’s needs.
