As our new Logistics Coordinator your responsibilities will include :
Assist dispatch with dispatching trucks for both aggregate and asphalt products.
Serve existing and potential customers to supply accurate pricing and material information often as first company contact.
Records customer orders and all job information, including product pricing to assist in providing timely and accurate billing information.
Helps coordinates material delivery with the dispatcher and reconciles trucking paperwork to actual deliveries.
Investigates and resolves customers concerns and complaints when possible and refers to the appropriate department to ensure customers receive prompt attention.
Addresses customer concerns with invoices and makes corrections to invoices as required.
Provides sales information support to Scale House, AR/AP staff and Managers as required to supply timely information, avoid delays in delivering products to customers and expedite invoicing and collection of payment.
This position requires a high degree of initiative and judgment in order to organize and prioritize daily tasks. Courtesy, tact and diplomacy are required in dealing with colleagues and customers in every day working relationships. Advanced computer software skills (i.e. MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel,) to efficiently and effectively produce reports, input customer orders and information as necessary.
Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.
Able to convey both good & bad news in a professional manner
Basic problem solving skills to analyze problems, investigate customer complaints and formulate a plan of action.
Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal and communication skills to promote and foster relationships with existing and potential customers.
Able to work with limited supervision.
Communicates politely, professionally and with clarity, verbally and in one-on-one or group situations, or over the telephone
Capacity to follow directives and fulfill requests.
Proactive - anticipates and initiates action to meet needs
Adaptable – able to set and prioritize work with occasional exceptions, able to work with diverse personalities and style.
Previous working experience in customer service, sales and or marketing
Currently pursuing education in Sales and or Marketing would be an asset
Walker Aggregates supplies high quality aggregates and asphalt to communities across Ontario.
The materials produced at our quarries, pits and asphalt plants are used to build Ontario’s infrastructure – roads, bridges, underground infrastructure, sidewalks, houses, schools and hospitals.
