Implementation Manager

Reporting to the Director of Implementation within the Health & Productivity Solutions line of business, the Implementation Manager role is expected to take a lead in the coordination, oversight, and execution of client implementations and both internal and external projects. The role is integral to the Health and Productivity Solutions (HPS) Business, to support and collaborate with clients the business development team, service delivery team, other HPS stakeholders and other lines of business to achieve short and long-term business objectives.


  • Work closely with Business Development to support the sales process (contribute to proposals, prepare documents, participate in meetings and finalist presentations, etc.).
  • Manage the implementation by developing implementation plans; leading and facilitating meetings; complete implementation requirements/workbooks; ensure the tasks are completed on time; mitigate risks and issues.
  • Excel as the main point of contact for clients throughout and post implementation.
  • Consult and collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders on the design of the solution using experience, best practice knowledge, data and insights.
  • Prepare training materials and lead the initial client training.
  • Conduct project meetings with internal and client stakeholders.
  • Create and update relevant project management & implementation documents through the project lifecycle (project plan, communication plan, risk management plan, change request log, etc.)
  • Establish clear specifications, timelines, and costs for client projects.
  • Work with the IT Project Team to manage business deliverables such as requirements gathering and user acceptance testing.
  • Ensure a smooth transition to ongoing service delivery team, and manage the respective warranty period.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all departments across Morneau Shepell.
  • Consistently contribute to fostering a positive, progressive, and healthy work environment, by building trust and demonstrating leadership with peers and colleagues.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Project Management course work, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset
  • 3-5 years of Project Management experience
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and creative-thinking skills.
  • Exceptional customer focus and strong professional acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with experience presenting to management.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including MS Project, Visio and Excel.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a challenging, fact paced environment.
  • Ability to positively influence and persuade
  • Demonstrated aptitude for technology.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and mediation/conflict resolution skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work well independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet or exceed established deadlines and commitments
  • Reliable, consistent, flexible and adaptable.

  • Working Conditions:
    Extended hours may be required at various times throughout the year to manage projects and assist with product deployments.
    Some travel is required.
