Wildstone Construction Group is hiring an Estimator to join our team! Our head office is located in Penticton, BC however with this position there is an opportunity to work from home or remote or a combination of remote and in office.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Estimator has responsibility for handling a wide range of estimating tasks related to all aspects of the construction industry.
Prepare preliminary estimates using estimating system.
Analyze plans, specifications, proposals and other documentation to prepare bid estimates for projects.
Attend site meetings as required.
Build Relationships with subcontractors, suppliers to solicit the best pricing for tenders.
Manage all aspects of the bidding process: procuring new projects to bid, quantity take-offs, soliciting pricing, estimate labour and equipment costs, bid proposals, order and manage bid bonds.
Review other estimates prepared by other team members prior to submittal.
Implement strategy on each bid, think strategically.
Maintain database of subcontractors, suppliers, historical project cost data and historical bid results.

Broad construction industry knowledge with a minimum of 5 years’ estimating experience.
Trades/”Hands On” experience in civil, institutional and commercial construction on a diverse set of projects in a variety of markets would be an asset.
Ability to forecast and anticipate internal / external factors while guiding business strategy, must be a strategic thinker.
